  1. SMC Education Services LLC (d/b/a Coote Consulting, Rude Roots, and affiliated brands) is a small, woman-owned business offering training and business services, along with educational program activities for families, children, and youth.
  2. Services Provided:
  • Online, onsite, and blended government/corporate training and business services
  • Professional Career, Education, Life, and Student coaching
  • Life skills workshops
  1. Rules, Policies, and Regulations: The rules, policies, and regulations of SMC Education Services LLC are binding. We reserve the right to modify, update, or change any or all rules, policies, and regulations at any time.
  2. Agreements:

4.a. Education Agreements and Forms: All agreements and forms must be completed and submitted by the parent or guardian of the child(ren):

  • Student Information Form
  • Online Classroom Participation Agreement (only required for virtual sessions)

4.b. Coaching Agreements: All coaching clients acknowledge and agree to the following:

  • Sessions are non-refundable and must be rescheduled with at least 24-hour notice.
  • Clients are expected to arrive on time and be prepared with any materials needed.
  • Coaching is a collaborative process and results may vary; no guarantees are made regarding outcomes.
  • All sessions will be recorded for review purposes, unless specifically requested by the client not to record, and available to the client for 48 hours.
  • Confidentiality is respected; client information will not be shared outside the organization without written permission, except as required by law.

5. Military Discount: U.S. military members may be eligible for free or discounted services, subject to availability and program capacity.

  1. Privacy: Confidentiality is of utmost importance to SMC Education Services LLC. We do not share any client information outside of our organization. Access to personal information is restricted to the owner and key employees. We do not sell, rent, lease, or exchange your information with other entities.

6.a. Site and Service Usage: By using this site and using our services or products you agree to NOT share classroom images or videos featuring SMC Education Services students, parents, instructors, or staff without written consent from all parties involved. Unauthorized distribution may violate child privacy laws and result in legal action.

6.b. Personal information including your name, address, phone number, and email address will not be released or sold, except as noted below:

6.c. Service Providers We may share information with companies that perform services on our behalf (e.g., PayPal). These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data.

6.d. Government and Legal Disclosures: We may disclose information to comply with laws, legal requests, to investigate fraud or enforce our policies, or to protect rights and safety.

6.e. External Sites: We are not responsible for external website content. Please review their privacy policies.

6.f. Cookies: Cookies are used for personalization and do not store personal information. Some third-party providers may also use cookies.

6.g. Internet Risks: While we strive to protect your information, internet use involves risks. We are not responsible for third-party data practices. Please secure your passwords and personal information.

  1. Academic Performance: SMC Education Services LLC makes no guarantees or warranties regarding academic improvement as a result of our services.
  2. Code of Ethics: We abide by the Professional Association of Resume Writers and Career Coaches (PARW/CC) Code of Ethics.
  3. Non-Discrimination Statement: SMC Education Services LLC does not and shall not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion (creed), gender, gender expression, age, national origin, disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or military status. We aim to positively impact all the individuals we serve.
